9Proxy Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)

Welcome to 9Proxy. Our mission is to provide a reliable, high-performing residential proxy network for legitimate business intelligence, data gathering, and market research. ⚠️ Important Notice for Current Users: To provide you with ample time to adjust and use your existing IP balances, this updated Acceptable Use Policy will officially take effect on April 1, 2026. Until this date, you may continue to use your current IPs under the previous terms. After April 1, 2026, all network usage must fully comply with this updated policy. To ensure the health, stability, and legality of our network, and to guarantee the highest possible success rates for all our clients, all users must adhere to this Acceptable Use Policy. By using 9Proxy's platform, technology, and network (collectively, the "Services"), you agree to comply with these terms, which operate in conjunction with our Terms of Service.

1. General Principles Of Use

9Proxy Services are designed strictly for legal, ethical, and legitimate purposes. We are committed to maintaining a clean proxy pool. As a user, you agree that your use of the Services will strictly comply with all applicable local, nation al, and international laws, regulations, and third-party rights.

2. Target Platform Accessibility & Policy Changes

The internet is a highly dynamic environment. Third-party websites, platforms, and services frequently update their own Terms of Service, security protocols, and anti-bot mechanisms (such as WAFs, CAPTCHAs, and IP filtering).Because of this, 9Proxy users must understand and accept the following:
  • No Guarantee of Specific Access: While we strive to maintain a robust residential network, 9Proxy cannot guarantee uninterrupted access to any specific third-party website or platform.
  • Dynamic Blocking: Websites may proactively block IP subnets or alter their accessibility policies at any time. 9Proxy is not liable if a specific target site becomes temporarily or permanently inaccessible via our network.
  • User Responsibility: It is your responsibility to ensure that your data collection methods comply with the Terms of Service of the target websites you are accessing.

3. Prohibited Activities & Usage Restrictions

Any use of 9Proxy Services for illegal, fraudulent, malicious, or abusive activities is strictly prohibited. To protect our network and ensure high performance for all users, the following activities are either explicitly forbidden or restricted based on your specific plan:

A. Fraud, Deception & Market Manipulation

  • Ad & Click Fraud: Generating fake clicks or impressions on advertisements to drain competitor budgets or artificially inflate revenue.
  • Fake Engagement: Creating artificial likes, comments, shares, reviews, or followers on social media and review platforms.
  • Account Generation: Utilizing automated scripts to create bulk, fake, or fraudulent accounts on any platform.
  • Impersonation & Spoofing: Pretending to be an authorized user or entity for fraudulent purposes.
  • SEO Manipulation: Generating artificial search queries or fake clicks in search engine results to manipulate rankings.
  • Survey Fraud: Completing online surveys or offers using proxies to fraudulently obtain rewards, benefits, or compensation.

B. Network & Infrastructure Abuse

  • DDoS Attacks: Participating in or facilitating Distributed Denial of Service attacks or deliberately attempting to overwhelm a target server.
  • Security Bypassing: Attempting to breach, bypass, or test the vulnerabilities of any system, network, or authentication process without explicit permission.
  • Spamming: Mass posting unsolicited messages across emails, message boards, IRCs, forums, or blog comments.

C. Unauthorized Data Collection & Privacy Violations

  • Scraping Non-Public Data: Accessing, collecting, or scraping data that resides behind a user login, paywall, or requires authentication to which you do not have authorized access.
  • Phishing & Identity Theft: Any involvement in harvesting personal information, financial data, or credentials.

D. Streaming Activities

    Media Streaming: Access to heavy media streaming platforms may be dynamically restricted or unsupported on IP-based plans. Examples of restricted targets include, but are not limited to: Netflix, YouTube, and Spotify. 9Proxy reserves the right to update or expand the list of restricted streaming domains at any time without prior notice.
    If your project requires accessing media streaming services, these platforms remain fully supported on our GB-based plans. (Note: The streaming limitations on IP-based plans will officially take effect on April 1, 2026).

E. Automatically Blocked Content

    High-Risk Categories: To ensure network safety, 9Proxy proactively filters and blocks access to high-risk categories, including Adult/Pornographic content, Governmental websites (.gov), Banking/Financial institutions, and known malicious domains. You are prohibited from attempting to bypass these filters. 9Proxy reserves the right to modify these blocks at our sole discretion at any time.

4. Enforcement & Consequences

9Proxy actively monitors network health and takes reports of abuse seriously.
  • Investigations: Any suspected violation of this AUP will be immediately investigated. We may temporarily suspend your account during an investigation.
  • Penalties: Confirmed violations will result in immediate termination of your 9Proxy services, without refund.
  • Law Enforcement: 9Proxy will take firm action against non-compliant use and will fully cooperate with law enforcement agencies and third-party security firms in investigating potentially illegal activities.

5. Reporting Abuse

A clean network benefits everyone. We strongly encourage our users and the public to report any misuse, suspicious activity, or unauthorized scraping originating from our network.Please direct all abuse reports, including the offending IP address, timestamps, and target domains, to:
